gobble gobble

Last night Brett was so excited to get his first turkey. We went hiking up sounth of Logan. Brett and his cousin Chris called about 8 of them into us. It was my first experience ever being with Brett when he got something so it meant a lot to him. I was "excited" for him.

Tulip Festival in WA

Here are some last pics of our trip to Seattle. Our last day we took a drive up north to the tulip festival. There were hundreds of acres just filled with tulips, daffodils, and iris. It was so beautiful to see in person! It really got me excited for spring and to plant my own little flower garden.

Snoqualmie Falls WA

Brett and I took a little drive to see some more of Washington. We went to Snoqualmie Falls and took a little hike down to the bottom. It was so beautiful and kind of peaceful sitting in the mist of it.

Pike Market and Seattle Harbor Cruise

Brett and I went into Seattle and checked out Pike Market, which is a farmers market selling everything from fresh produce to tulips to seafood to handmade objects. It was fun to watch them throw the fish and then catch the slippery thing. I was brave and held one! We also went on a little harbor cruise where we learned a little more about the city. Fun day!

Seattle Space Needle

Brett and I have been having fun hanging out together in Seattle. He had a trade show for a few days and we are going to stay for the rest of the week and make it a vacation. Here is a pic on top of the Space Needle, it was amazing to walk around and see the incredible panoramic view. You can see the entire city, the Olympuc and Cascade Mountains, and Mount Rainier. We learned that it was built for the 1962 world fair, is 605 ft. and can withstand an earthquake up to 9.5 magnitude. Crazy engineering that must have gone into it.

easter dinner

My cute sister Amy and her husband Jerrick came over for a little dinner for easter. It was nice to spend time with them -- even though we live closer, it's hard with everyones schedule. We missed having my other sister Katy and her husband Josh but hanging out with their pup was a close second. Hope everyone had a great day!

Partners in Crime

We have another child for a while... my sister Katy and her husband Josh are enjoying some nice weather in Arizona for Easter. The first few hours of dog sitting were a little rough. They were outside mud wrestling in the rain so I went out to try and separate them so I could clean them off. Faye (Katy's springer spaniel) is very sneaky and somehow wiggled her way inside and managed to get her cute little paw prints all over the house! I used an entire bottle of carpet cleaner and gave them both a bath. It's been very adventurous, but fun, she is such a cute dog. Anyway, I took a few pictures of the partners in crime. Enjoy!
